first post of the day

well its a QVC craft day and for the 1st time in ages managed to get a day off work to see it all!!! So I've been trying to make the most of it!! There probably will be loads of posts today. The first one is a Christmas card made from some Kanban toppers that I found in my stash and to be honest I don't know why I didn't use it last year. I've kept it really simple (like a lot of my cards are) as the robin topper is so good I didnt want to distract from it. I have glittered the berries on the topper and used some basic matting and layering. The greeting is from Kanban too. I'm going to enter it into "Less Is More" which this week is a theme of things that move. I hope you all like it :)

2nd christmas card of the day!!

This is another card that came to me while in the garden yesterday!! The image is the first stamp that I have bought from Lily of the Valley and I love it. The stamp is so clear and easy to use and so easy to colour. I know that it is typically a birthday image but I have adapted it to make it more of a Christmas card for my niece Victoria. It is her 1st Christmas this year and I'm so pleased with the way that this has turned out. The background paper is again from Bo Bunny's Christmas papers from last year. I'm entering it into 2 different challenges - Less is More (Ribbon and/or buttons) and Secret Saturday Crafter (Numbers)

holly and the ivy

I've had this inkadinkadoo stamp for ages and never really found the correct paper or use for it and yesterday while sitting in the sunshine it came to me!! (I know a christmas card while I'm sitting enjoying the summer!!!!!) I think that it will be perfect for my grandmother, I need a greeting for it but I am not sure how to finish it off. The paper is last year's Bo Bunny's St Nick Sleigh (I love Bo Bunny papers and if you haven't checked out their blog and their website they are amazing!!) and the ribbon is one that I got from a set from Studio 24. I am going to enter it ito this weeks challenge at Winter Wonderland which is "The Holly and the Ivy"

no pink or blue

Hi people I've had major camera issues recently so not been able to upload any pics until now (got a new phone !! seeing as I still cant find my camera charger!!) anyway I'm really pleased with this card that I made for one of my best friends 21st. My crafting mojo still isnt completlely back but I'm getting there. She is pregnant with her first baby at the moment so she couldnt enjoy it as much as she would have like too, Lol!!! I think that the black and red makes it a really dramatic card. The image is a Greeting Farm stamp and I die cut the numbers with my beloved cuttlebug. I'm entering it into this weeks theme at Crafty Catz Weekly challenge which is no blue or pink

less is more

As I mentioned in me previous post I have done a bit of blog hopping today and I came across a great blog called "less is more." I do like cards that are as simple as possible (as you can probably tell from my other cards on this blog) Well this week they have a sketch which I was really inspired by and thought that this would be a great chance to start on my Christmas cards for this year. I have layered 3 snowflake toppers (that I have had in my stash for ages so I'm not really sure where they have come from) over glittered paper (you can't do Christmas without a bit of glitter!!) and finished off with a peel off statement. I think that this is going to be an ongoing theme for my christmas cards this year as I'm really pleased with the end result.

something old and something new

As you already know my crafting mojo has not been around recently and I'm trying so hard to get it back so a lot of blog hopping has been helping. I have come accross a new one (to me anyway) is called sweet stamping. The challenge over there this week is Something old, some thing new, which means you need to use something that you have recently bought and something that has been in your stash for ages. Well my card is the first one I have been really proud of in ages and was for my friends wedding. The new item is the image stamps that I have used which were from the QVC Kanban TSV a few weeks ago - which I wasnt sure about when I saw them - I really ordered it for the auto delivery Christmas one which I loved - but I love them now they give a really clear crisp image. The old item was the embossing powder, the base card and the wedding message. I hope you like it :)

oh boy, oh boy

well here starts the catch up with my blog! still can't believe that its been so long since I've been on it. Anyway seeing as its fathers day on Sunday cupcake blog challenge is "boy oh boy" Well I always find my dads cards much more difficult than any other male cards (and I find them really difficult anyway!!) For this card I have made a typically girly image a bit more masculine with the colours. This is a fizzy moon stamp imaged coloured with my promarkers (which I am still loving) with an embossed dotty background with my amazing cuttlebug. I definately would not be without either my promarkers or my 'bug!! Hope you like it :)
