less is more

As I mentioned in me previous post I have done a bit of blog hopping today and I came across a great blog called "less is more." I do like cards that are as simple as possible (as you can probably tell from my other cards on this blog) Well this week they have a sketch which I was really inspired by and thought that this would be a great chance to start on my Christmas cards for this year. I have layered 3 snowflake toppers (that I have had in my stash for ages so I'm not really sure where they have come from) over glittered paper (you can't do Christmas without a bit of glitter!!) and finished off with a peel off statement. I think that this is going to be an ongoing theme for my christmas cards this year as I'm really pleased with the end result.

something old and something new

As you already know my crafting mojo has not been around recently and I'm trying so hard to get it back so a lot of blog hopping has been helping. I have come accross a new one (to me anyway) is called sweet stamping. The challenge over there this week is Something old, some thing new, which means you need to use something that you have recently bought and something that has been in your stash for ages. Well my card is the first one I have been really proud of in ages and was for my friends wedding. The new item is the image stamps that I have used which were from the QVC Kanban TSV a few weeks ago - which I wasnt sure about when I saw them - I really ordered it for the auto delivery Christmas one which I loved - but I love them now they give a really clear crisp image. The old item was the embossing powder, the base card and the wedding message. I hope you like it :)

oh boy, oh boy

well here starts the catch up with my blog! still can't believe that its been so long since I've been on it. Anyway seeing as its fathers day on Sunday cupcake blog challenge is "boy oh boy" Well I always find my dads cards much more difficult than any other male cards (and I find them really difficult anyway!!) For this card I have made a typically girly image a bit more masculine with the colours. This is a fizzy moon stamp imaged coloured with my promarkers (which I am still loving) with an embossed dotty background with my amazing cuttlebug. I definately would not be without either my promarkers or my 'bug!! Hope you like it :)

I will get some photo's uploaded but during the move my camera charger has disappeared :( I'm sure I'll find it eventually!! at the moment I'm using my phone camera but not sure how good the photos will be. Anyway thats enough of my blethering and I'll be back on later with the photos (I'm at work just now!)

I have been having a bit of a nightmare with the internet at the moment which is why I havent blogged for a while!! I have been crafting away tho and busy making more cards and candles. Well over on ABC Christmas challenge this weeks theme is "Under the tree" which means makng a gift, box etc and they are also looking for new DT members so I thought that I would give this a go and blog another one of my candles. Its actually a thank you gift got my mums friend because she has been so generous and given me loads of craft stuff that she wasnt using :) I hope you like it :)

Tilda in Red Candle

I'm really getting into stamping onto candles at the moment. I must say that this really does get better with practice. I bought this new Tilda recently and love her becasue she can be a birthday or Christmas one. This time I coloured her with my pro markers (which I'm still loving!!!!!) and coloured her crown and wand with gold glitter and finished it off with red stitched ribbon. I'm going to enter her into the Die Cut Dreams Christmas challenge which this week is Tilda In Red.

Another Tilda Christmas

Afternoon all, well another Christmas Tilda card. This time I've layered her over a debossed dots (from my cuttlebug) and have put her sitting on a glittery strip like a chair and in the background i have scattered sequins to look like snowflakes. I'm actually really impressed with the way that this card has turned out and I'm entering it into this weeks Allsorts Challenge which is Primary Colours.
