cute card thursday!!

I made this card this morning for the cute card thursday challenge blog. The theme this week is "Make Your Own," in which you need to make something yourself. I made the background from a florish stamp from papermania and the image (which I love and have bought several times!!) is from Dufex decoupage. I'm actually quite please with it :) I hope you like it too.

Allsorts Challenge blog

my inspiration has gone this week so I thought I would do a bit of blog hopping to see what challenges I could find, its been a while since I did this and I'm so glad that I did. I found the allsorts challenge blog and the theme this week is "Be Inspired." The DT gave you a photo of the most gorgeous butterfly bracelet and use this as your inspiration. I loved it and I hope that you like what I've come up.

Another post today!!

Well I haven't posted anything for ages and I've got 2 on the same day. I've been trying to sort out some files on the computer so thought I would move some of my pictures to my blog :)

I bought these stamps from QVC and I love them. There were 5 foam stamps in the set and you will see these a lot over the next few weeks. They have totally encouraged me to become more of a stamper just because the images are so gorgeous. I wanted to keep this card as simple as possible because the image is so lovely.

I seem to be making a lot of baby cards recently and I love this image. These cards are simply a bit of matting and layering but I'm pleased with them :)

This Easter card I made for my Gran, the stickers are from Poundland (they are like shaker stickers) with Easter ribbon from my local craft shop and used glitter vellum from a do crafts goody bag.
I love this image, it is from a creative impressions Christmas theme plate. I embossed it with pearlised embossing powder. You cant tell from the image but I've inked the corners of the base card with a pink ink pad - I like using pink, lilac and blue for Christmas cards.

This is die cut decoupage from Kanban, I don't normally die cut decoupage because I like to it watching TV and cutting out the decoupage but I love the images on the sheet with this one. I just think that he is so cute!! I also think that it goes really well with the pearlised base card.

This is another card that I made with the Patchwork Pals kit from QVC. I loved this kit and I may buy it again because I used it loads. The base card is again card I got from Woolies before it closed.

This is the card that I made for my other half for valentines this year. I find it really difficult to make cards for him but I thought that this wasn't too girly!! The hearts and the love image are all papermania foam stamps and finished it off with gold heart peels offs.

This card I made for my other half's best friend who got engaged to his long term girlfriend just before Christmas. I used the same stamp as the valentines card above but I think that it looks totally different. I like the monochrome look but like to add a touch of colour like I have done here with the alphabets which were from a DCVW kit. The glitter paper was some wrapping paper that I had a left over from Christmas.

A quick last minute card for a last minute night out I was invited to. I can't remember where the topper came from but its a cute image.

my goodness!!

i cant believe its been nearly 2 years since I've been on my blog!! So much has changed and I think that its about time I updated this!!! well i have been busy and I've branched out and started different crafting rather than just cards! I have made some canvases, joined new swaps and challenges on the Craft Swap forum. Also its my birthday next week and I'm getting a cuttle bug!! (I've been wanting one for about 3 years but other things have got in the way) - it arrived on Friday but my other half has put it in the car so I wont play with it while he is a work!! lol . Anyway over the next few days I will be putting up some of my cards and your comments will be appreciated, thanks :)
this Christmas card i made for my brother and his wife for their first Christmas as a married couple. to be honest I'm not sure where the topper or the backing paper came from but I thought that it worked really well together.

A good Scottish Christmas card!! lol! I love this image and the background paper is actually the bag that they put the goodies that I bought the same day in!! I finished it off with some Anita's Christmas ribbon.

this card I made for my friend Fiona, I really struggled with it but at the last minute I remembered about this Forever Friends stamp and combined it with Papermania flowers and ribbon. I was quite please with the final result.

I was asked by someone at work to make a Christmas card for her daughter. The image is from a Patchwork pals TSV kit by QVC, (I don't normally buy these kits but I loved the images so much I couldn't resist.) The base card is glitter card that I bought from Woolies before it went under (i don't know if its just me because I used to work for them but I really miss Woolies) and put glittery vellum over the top. It's so girly I love it!!
this is a really simple thank you card but i think its quiet effective. The background paper is some glittery wrapping paper that I got in an outlet store and just added some white ribbon a butterfly topper and thank you peel off.
