Numbers!

I was asked by someone at work to make an 18th shaker card for her niece and thought that this is great timing as the challenge at My Time to Craft is numbers this week. As with one of my Christmas cards I have cut the card along the pre scored line and reattached it with ribbon (I have decided that I really like the effect that this gives!) The backround paper is from personal impressions and I added self adhesive gems for the 18! I hope this is what she is looking for (she did ask for girly!!!)

Another Christmas Card

Another Christmas card for you. I got the idea for this card while flicking through an old magazine while waiting in the doctors surgery. I chopped up a 5x5 card blank and reattached it at the top with ribbon and covered it with last years American Crafts Xmas paper (I cant remember the name of it though I'm afraid!) Then used a piece of round chipboard and covered it in some brown pearlised paper and drew the icing, the berries and the leaves freehand. I really think that its a fun Xmas card and I will be making more like this! I think that I will enter it into the Artistic Stamper blog challenge, which is Christmas in July!

ATC Challenge

This week I was asked by Shazzapat to set the theme for Florries ATC challenge. I thought that I would think of something a bit different for this weeks challenge so after some thought I decided on a "2 colour challenge" with no black or white. I love this paper from the oriental dovecraft theme and thought that the ribbon and the chipboard toppers looked great with it. (My colours are obviously purple and green!)

Wednesday 25 June 2008

I'm trying to build up my card stock at the moment and its taken a while because I lost my crafting inspiration for a while! I think that I've got it back now though! I would really appriciate any feedback! Thanks xx

I think that this is my favourite one! The image is from a Laura Ashley paper that I decoupaged! I just love the Laura Ashley stuff! I'm not really sure where I got the background paper from but I thought that it really went well with the image!

Christmas Cards!!!

Yeah I know what your thinking but I came accross my Christmas craft stuff when doing a bit of a tidy up and thought why not! I do love making Christmas Cards! Seeing as its exactly 6 months until Christmas I thought that instead of rushing about at the last minute as usual I would start early! All feedback greatly received! (there are more to come!)

Florries ATC Challenge

Florries ATC challenge this week was set by Shazzapat and the theme is "Mellow Yellow." I just love yellow so I knew that I had to enter! I thought that I would make it a bit of a summertime theme too with the bugs and butterflies on it!

Buttons and Beads

The theme on Funky Fairy Challenge blog is 'Buttons and Brads," which as usual is a great theme. I know loads of people that are pregnant at the moment so I thought I would make a baby card this week. The papers and stickers are from my local poundland, the buttons are papermania. I'm not sure where I got the image from but I think that it really suits this card. I hope that you like it!

Eyelets and Brads

The challenge on My Time To Craft Challenge blog this week is "Eyelets and Brads." Well seeing as I am still playing with my crop a dile and everything has eyelets in it at the moment! I am trying to build up my card stock at the monent and this is a card I made yesterday. I made the topper a while ago and the backround paper is from Lakeland and it is finished off with some ribbon and a greeting from Redicut. Thanks for looking :)

3 Challenges

First of all I would like to thank you all for all of your lovely comments. It really is nice to get some feedback from fellow crafters. Todays entry is all about challenge blogs - I have entered 3! I am really loving having to do something different and thinking outside my normal crafting abilities.

This card was made for the Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge blog. The challenge this week was "Something Different." No normal shaped cards or scrapbook layouts allowed!!!! So seeing as I had a 40th birthday card to make for someone on Crafting Corner Forum I thought that I would incorporate this. The picture doesnt really show the card vary well though.

This is my very first go at a scrapbook page. I love this photo of my mum and stapdad at their wedding with all of mum's side of the family. I wanted to keep it really simple because really the photo and the title say it all. Eventually I am going to make mum a scrapbook of the family (hopefully before she decides to move to Crete!) As I have used just a small bit of ribbon on this (I usually use more!) I thought that I would enter it into the "My Time To Craft Challenge" which is ribbons this week.
Finally (for today anyway!) the "Funky Fairys Challenge Blog" this week the challenge is "going Dotty." I ordered a crop a dile and recieved it yesterday (I know I'm probably the last crafter in the country to get one!) so I used it on this ATC. I think that the paper is from Papermania and so is the paper flower.

New Envelope!

I decided that I didn't like my envelope for the CSF 2nd birthday so I remade it. I feel better about it this time. The stamped images are from a stamp that I recently bought from my local craft shop and its my new favourite stamp! (Everytime I buy a new one it seems to be my favourite though!!) The epoxy stickers I bought from my local poundland! (bargain!!!!) I hope that you like it!

Geomatric ATC

This weeks ATC challenge on Craft Swap is Geometric Shapes! I actually found this quite difficult until I remembered that I had this paper and found this sheet of peel offs too! I decoupaged some of the shapes on the paper :)

An exploding box (sort of!!)

Hi everyone thanks for all of your lovely comments :) its really nice to get some feedback!

Yesterday I did a variation on an exploding box. Its a template that I got from The Scrapbook Lounge (http://sbl.tvweekly.com/player.php?ee6957ec2ef4ba9b864fd2693439ce45x1378) Its called a "surprise box." I made it for a very good friend of mine who is 50 today! I wasn't sure how this would turn out because all of my other goes at doing exploding boxes failed (I'm not really sure why though!) however I am really pleased with this one! I'm going to enter it into the Arty Girlz blog challenge this week as it has an open theme :)

Birthday Cards

I have a lot of birthdays coming up and I just made them all tonight (I got some inspiration!) I hope that you like them :)

This papernation decoupage works well for any occasion - as I've said before I just love it! I just finished this card off with some sticky ribbon and a greeting :)
This card is for a very close friend of mine who is turning 50 this weekend. This defux decoupage is so cute! This paper is actually a Xmas paper that I had left (its double sided) and I finished it off with ribbon and a peel-off. I hope that she likes it!
As you can probably tell I'm liking decoupage at the moment. This is an image that I won from Nikki's blog candy a couple of weeks ago with the same paper that I used on the card above.
Finally (for today anyway!) I just love these hegdgehogs! They look like they ate having so much fun!!

Puddles and Rainbows

I was asked by a really good forum friend, Jane, to set the theme for the Florrie ATC challenge for this week. I thought of "puddles and rainbows" to hopefully see the end of the April showers. I thought that I would use rainbow colours for mine.

Tuesday 22 April 2008

Tutti - Frutti

This ATC is for the "My Time To Craft Challenge" this week. The theme this week is Tutti Frutti. I love the flower stickers and I thought that the spotty paper went really well with them.

Two new cards!

My pal asked me to make a card for her boyfriends' granny's 80th! I really struggled with it but I found this yellow rose dufex decoupage and remembered I had this yellow rose wrapping paper too :) It turned out much better than I thought it would!
This card is acutally part of the challenge for the Funky Fairy's challenge blog this week which is stars and stripes! I love this paper! The image I won as part of a blog candy prize from nikkiscardsandnews.blogspot.com. This card is a congratulations on your promotion card too!

Sunday 13th April

Hi everyone,

tonight I have managed to start my Craft Swap Forum birthday challenge. The forum celebrates its 2nd birthday this week and to mark this occasion we are making pages for an envelope book. These books will be auctioned off to raise money for the forum charity (the Lymphoma Association). Each team will be made up of six people who all have to make an envelope and an insert each to a specific theme. Our team is called Seventh Heaven and our theme is "Bugs and Critters"

Anyway I have started mine and I like it but I'm not too sure about the black envelope (but I do love the paper!) You can really see in this photo but it is textured and has embossed flowers on it. Let me know what you think :)

Sunday 6th April

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thanks to you all for looking at my blog :) Just a few cards on here today - I've been so busy this week and havent really had time to craft. I'm attempting to make an exploding box at the moment but its really not happening.

These 2 cards were quick birthday ones for a list that I'm on. They are from a kit that I got from Lakeland. I've not had much time to craft lately and these were a quick fix! (I dont normally use kits but sometimes you just need to!)

I just love this bear image! I'm not really sure where I got it from but I love him! This card is for a friend of mine whose birthday is really soon. To finish it off I just added some pink holographic peel offs and a big bow. I hope that she likes him too!
Finally for today the above card is for the "Time to Craft" challenge blog! Its the first time that I have entered this challenge and the title is "Furry Friends." The image is decoupaged and the backround I printed off from scrapbookscrapbook.com. The doggy just looks so sad so I needed to use him!

Wednesday 26 March 2008

Wednesday 26th March

This is my second attempt at a Fat Book page for a RAK that I entered on Crafting Corner. I enjoyed this one much more than the previous one that I made. I just love these butterfly peel offs. I hope that the person who gets it likes it too.

I love papernation decoupage. The images are so cute and they go so well with this dovecraft papers (that I got half price from Artymiss!!!) I've never really thought that ripped paper looked that good when I did it (I like neat lines on my cards) but I really like the effect on these. I'm really pleased with them but I like them that much that I really don't want to send them to anyone!

Tuesday 25 March 2008

Monday 24th March

Not done any crafting today but thought that I would let you see pics of my gorgeous niece and nephews (can you tell that I'm a really proud auntie!!!)

Sunday 23 March 2008

Sunday 23rd March

First of all Happy Easter everyone. I hope that you are all feeling ok after eating all of that chocolate!!!

I've finally put the software on the computer for my camera so I've got a load of photos to catch up on. As most of you know I was MIA for a few months at the end of last year and the beginning of this one so I am trying to catch up on all of the lists that I am on (if you havent had your ATC/card from me yet bear with me I am getting there!!!)

This card was made for my OH Gary for Valentine's day. Very simple peel offs with red card under them. I actually really like this card - I find it so hard to make cards for Gary (or other male cards TBH)

Another simple but effective card. I just love these black and white cardstock stickers - I'm not sure who makes them so if anyone could let me know I would be really grateful!

Some of my catch up ATCs and cards :)

this card was made for someone from my work who was leaving - as I said before I'm not the best at mens cards so this one is just downloaded decoupage from the net with matching background papers.

this ATC was made as very first go at a challenge on Craft Swap Forum. The theme was friendship and flowers so I thought that I would decoupage some flowers and found a vellum "best friend" sticker and tied a bow to finish. (those of you who know my know how much I like my ribbon!!!)

Finally this is my first attempt at a fat book page. I'm not sure how much I enjoyed it but I hope that the person who recieves it, likes it!
