Pastel Christmas

Well I've got another Christmas card done today, this one is so simple but so effective. I bought one of the new Papermania embossing folders for my Cuttlebug. I think that this image is so detailed so I didnt want to mess up the image so embossed on some glossy white card, added some pale turquoise glitter and layered over turquoise card and added a peel off. I am really happy with this card (for the first time in ages). I hope the DT team at Cupcake Challenge like it also because I'm going to enter it in their challenge this week which is pastel Christmas

Vintage Christmas

Well my mojo still hasnt totally returned but it getting there, I have had a great day today blog hopping, found some new blog challenges and looking through some amazing talents out there! Well one of the challenge blog that I found today is the Crafty Pad. This week the challenge is vintage and you can see the DT samples here I thought this would make an excellent chance to make another Christmas card because this is not my normal style. The image is from Joanna Sheen a few years ago (I found it in my stash), layered over gold satin card and some vintage style papers that I found in my stash (im not sure where they are from, sorry) and coloured the edges with a dark red ink.

Christmas in July

As you can see from my blog you would think that its Christmas now!! (mind you I did see that some card shops in town are starting to get theirs in too!!)Any way I have found a new challenge blog called "the cuttlebug spot" and I just love my cuttlebug!! You can see the designs by the DT here. Well this is a variation on a card that I made earlier in the week but I think that it looks better with the gold and red combination, its so subtle but effective. I do love this embossing folder!

Christmas Scene

my card making mojo has totally gone this week (I spent yesterdays crafting shows on QVC trying to craft and made 1 card!!!) so my cards at the moment are not my usual quality! I'm getting really annoyed with myself about it! Anyway this is the one card that I made yesterday for the Bah Humbug blog challenge which this week is Christmas Scene, the DT samples (which are amazing as always) can be seen here I have used the Percy and Penelope stamp that I just love, coloured with glitter gel pens and used tiny gems that I bought from ebay. The background card is part of the patchwork pals kit that I bought from QVC and then used snowflake brads in the background

Candle Stamping!!

This is the first time I have tried stamping onto candles and finally got it right! Its going to be a bit of a tight Christmas this year so thought that these would make great extra add in for pressies for friends and family (and cheaper than chocolates) I have been experimenting with colours and colouring mediums. (and still need to find the perfect stamp for them too but I'm sure I will get there!!) Let me know what you think.

Die Cut Dreams DT call

Well over on the Die Cut Dreams challenge blog the design team are looking for another DT member. Well I thought I would give it a go!!!! The theme is Pink and Girly (which if any of you know me is just made for me!!) Well if you have been on my blog recently you will notice that I'm really into Christmas cards at the moment so I thought that I would give a really girly card. The image is my favourite Tilda image (at the moment) she is coloured using glittery gel pens and I have highlighted the crown with red glitter for the holly berries. I have layered her over an embossed Christmas tree from a Cuttlebug embossing folder with tiny gems (that I bought from ebay) for the lights. The background is stamped with this years Xmas set from Inkadinkado and the flowers are from Papermania. I hope that you like this :)

one for the girls

another blog challenge today - this time I've entered the Totally Papercrafts blog challenge which this week is one for the girls. you can see the dt designs here and as usual they are excellent. I have used the image that I won a few weeks ago from totally papercrafts which is made by the greeting farm, layered over a happy birthday embossing folder from cuttlebug. I love the black and red combination and I hope you like it too :)
